The Harris County Public Libary’s Northwest Branch Libary will hold “A Genealogy Family Reunion Affair : An Evidence Based Approach” on July 14, 2012 at 10am.

Academic Reference Librarian Kimberly Gay will address, discuss and exchange innovative ways with library patrons who are seeking information on evidence-based historical and genealogical research records and repositories for Africa Diaspora, Native Americans, Hispanic and Mexican, Asian and Anglo-Saxon Genealogy. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of their genealogy researching to share. Ms. Gay will provide a research framework about online and print resources and how to navigate through various methods. Patrons will have access to do hands on genealogy researching in the library as well. Refreshments will be served and the first 50 people to sign-up before July 10, 2012 will receive a Genealogy Research kit.
