Reaching Hispanics via Social Media, Two Upcoming Workshops (@prsahouston & @amahouston)

The first of two upcoming training opportunities addressing the topic of, well, addressing Hispanic audiences using social media is being offered by the Houston Chapter of the American Marketing Association. “Facebook y Más: Engage the Latino Consumer Through Social Networks and Mobile Marketing” will be held on Thursday, April 26th at 8 a.m. The list of speakers has me disappointed, because I can’t go. I teach a class that morning. ;

Panelists include: ;

  • Dr. Felipe Korzenny, Founder and Director – Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication – Florida State University
  • Roberto Hernandez, Digital Marketing Director – Latinworks, Ad Age’s Multicultural Agency of the Year
  • Hilda Garcia, Vice President of Multiplatform News and Information – ImpreMedia

Moderator will be ;Juan Tornoe, CMO & Partner – Cultural Strategies, Inc. Definitely a draw, if you can go.

    PRSA Houston has also put together a great panel to tackle the topic of reaching Hispanic audiences using Social Media. “Habla Social Media? Reaching Hispanic Audiences Through Social Media” will be held on Wednesday, May2, 2012 at 11:30 a.m.

    The Moderator will be Rita Garcia, Fox 26 News Reporter and Anchor.

    Speakers will be:

    • Vanessa Astros, vice president of Fleishman-Hillard’s Houston office
    • Claudia Deschamps, CEO and President of Deschamps Communications
    • Jack Frick, Digital Producer at Lopez Negrete Communications

    Nice lineup. I will be attending this one, and not just because I know two out of the four panelists. ;
