Meet Janiece Longoria

Janiece Longoria is the first woman and the first minority to become chairman of the Houston Port Commission. She was sworn in earlier this year.

From the Port of Houston announcement:

She has served on the Port Commission since her appointment by the City of Houston in September 2002. Port Commissioners serve two-year terms without pay.Longoria is an honors graduate of the University of Texas and received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1979. She is a partner with the firm of Ogden, Gibson, Broocks, Longoria & Hall LLP.

Longoria currently chairs the Port Authority’s Pension and Benefits Task Force and serves on the Audit and Governance task forces.
