Houston ranked #3 in total Hispanic population

Pew Research Center is reporting that 45% of US Hispanics can be found in just 10 cities/metro areas. Not surprisingly, Houston ranked as #3 with an estimated 2 million total Hispanics out of 5.6 million total residents in the Houston-Brazoria metro area. (No surprise, Los Angeles was ranked #1 and New York was ranked #2.)

SIDE NOTE: Brazoria? I’d never heard the area described as the Houston-Brazoria metropolitan area. Usually it’s the Houston-Harris County metropolitan area.
