As a child growing up in Mexico, Julion Alvarez dreamed of becoming a great singer as he listened to music filled with rhythm and pretended to play instruments while singing along. He tried his talents at grade school talent shows, taking first place in high school for singing “Corazon Usado.” His band Julion Alvarez y Su Norteño Banda experienced commercial success with its debut full-length album release in 2007. He released his debut album “M.I.A.M.I.” in 2004, peaking at No. 11 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. Following this early success, Pitbull became a wanted collaborator for other hip-hop artists, such as Ying Yang Twins and Wyclef Jean.

Since his musical journey began, Pitbull has released seven studio albums and more than 70 singles (both his own and as a collaborator). His Miami-born roots are evident in his music, which contains a hint of Latin flavor.
