2013 Financial Boot Camp for Women

Take Control of Your Financial Life

When: Oct. 26, 2013, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. CT. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. – A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Where: University of Houston, Cemo Hall. Parking is provided.
Who’s Invited: All women who are seeking greater financial knowledge. Whether your financial focus is on family, career or retirement.

About the event:
The Financial Boot Camp for Women is a one-day event to promote financial literacy for women in Houston. This is the third annual event, sponsored by Invesco and hosted by the C.T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston.

Topics will cover the spectrum of financial education, including:

  • Avoiding financial fraud
  • Planning for retirement
  • Estate planning and elder care
  • Credit matters
  • Woman in transition
  • Insurance

And members of the Financial Planning Association will be on hand for 15-minute personal question-and-answer sessions — free of charge.

All registration proceeds go toward funding scholarships for business majors at UH.
